Who and What are the….
FRIENDS OF SEBASTIAN INLET STATE PARK?
Basically we are a group of really nice people, just like you, who love, support and help to preserve Sebastian Inlet State Park.
So what does that translate to in real life language? Well, we run the gift shops and help to support the park in various ways. If you are a volunteer, it is the Friends who pay for your uniforms, name tags, hour pins, and hats. We are also the ones who pay for the volunteer appreciation luncheons.
For the park, the funds generated from gift shop sales go to whatever the current needs of the park are. We exist to help the park sustain an excellent record of visitor satisfaction, while having a few laughs along the way.
So why don’t you come by and visit one of our Board meetings and see what we’re all about, we’d love to see you. They are held the fourth Wednesday of the month, beginning at 4:30 p.m at the fishing museum. The FSISP Board of Directors is taking June, July and August off. The next meeting will be Wednesday, September 28.
A free entry pass to Sebastian Inlet State Park can be earned by contributing 50 hours of service to the park. Contact the Sebastian Fishing Museum at 772.388.2750 to find out more.
Thanks for the time and effort you already give to help support this beautiful park and please come to visit us, we’d love to see you!
